For most of my 62 years, I've driven MLK without taking my eyes off of the bumper in front of me. It was great seeing people biking, blading and walking in the area. The most striking thing was the peace - no car noise, no fumes - and the scenery took full stage. I urge every Clevelander: Put on your walking shoes, get on your bikes or roller blades and enjoy a rare treat. It was one of the best days of my summer. I'm looking forward to Walk and Roll continuing for next summer and beyond. This should happen every week! Walk and Roll Cleveland was the best public event I have been to in this town - and such a brilliantly simple concept - Family Sundays in the Park. I hope that the powers-that-be allow this magnificent public space to serve its original function by continuing this program! People just rode, strolled, bladed around with big smiles on their faces. Congratulations many times over and thank you!
