Lois Moss founded Walk+Roll Cleveland in 2006. The idea was born out of a conversation she had with a friend about NYC's Central Park and within seven months, funding was secured from The Civic Innovation Lab (a program of The Cleveland Foundation) and a full-fledged community-wide event was created. Prior to founding Walk+Roll Cleveland, Ms. Moss was the co-owner and co-founder of Century Cycles, a bicycle retailer with four stores which was repeatedly named one of the best bicycle retailers in the U.S. Past professional experience includes being a practicing CPA with Laventhol & Horwath and as a Senior Financial Analyst with Jacobs, Visconsi & Jacobs. Ms. Moss received her accounting degree from the University of Akron, although as quoted in Crain's Cleveland Business, she says "I was always meant to be an artist, but I took the easy way out and became an accountant instead."

Julia Sutter was the detail person for 2006 and 2007 who coordinated the nuts and bolts of producing the events. In November 2007, she moved to Oregon to explore a long-time dream of living on the west coast.
